A Few Things I’m Taking Note Of Right Now.

This week I am taking a moment to notice things that add to my life. The people, discoveries, and moments that are making my days richer right now.

The Beginning of the Day

My morning meal in a cup (espresso, water, collagen, fiber, and olive oil), prayer, and journaling. The beginning of the day before everything else starts demanding my attention. I have come to appreciate this time because it grounds me before everything else begins.

Linen Sheets

Waking up under linen sheets. Who would have thought something as simple as this could make a difference in the way I sleep and begin my day? It makes me think of the difference between waking up on the right or wrong side of the bed. There is something about beginning the morning surrounded by things that feel good.

Nassim and the Babies

Watching Nassim and her babies, who are now almost two, has brought so much personality into our home, with a few frustrations along the way. I love observing the relationships they share within their family and with the other two felines in the house, along with the personalities they have each developed.

Nassim having babies was not something we were planning. Keeping all of her babies is a decision I do not regret. Watching them grow has been a source of entertainment and happiness. This reminds me that sometimes the situations that initially cause us stress become things we would never want to change.

Pilates and Protein

Prioritizing movement and nutrition makes a positive impact on how I feel. I notice the difference when I make the effort to care for my body.

The People Who Show Up

My sister showing up yesterday at my office on a difficult day when I was experiencing significant physical pain. She came bearing remedies to help me manage it and feel better. It was a simple act that made a huge difference in my day. I am so lucky to have a sister who shows up when I am struggling.

Developing The Steward Edit

There is something exciting about creating something that you have never done before. Learning, planning, making decisions, and watching an idea come together require both patience and belief.

Caring for My Skin

Sisley Double Tenseur has become one of my favorite products because it feels like skincare while helping my skin look its best. It gives my skin a natural reflection of light rather than a makeup-like glow, and my foundation continues to look good from the office through dinner.

Kiehl’s Better Screen feels more like a moisturizer than a sunscreen. I have even skipped moisturizer some mornings and did not notice a difference. My skin does not tend to be on the dry side, so this may not be the same experience for everyone, but it has become an easy part of my morning routine.

Coolibar Cool Wraps stay in my car for the days when I want additional sun protection. I appreciate products that support the time and care I invest in my skin.

The Details That Make a Home

My flax linen tablecloth started as a one-year commitment to use it for every gathering, and I have loved it so much that it has become something I plan to continue using for years. The dusty olive runner and linen napkins for fall have made it even more versatile and reminded me how much I enjoy creating a table for sharing a meal and conversations that continue into the evening, filled with laughter. The moments we remember long after the evening ends.
